Namche Bazaar

Namche Bazaar

We spent out second day in Namche today. This place is awesome. It is a very high town surrounded by giant mountains. And the cool thing about it is that the town kind of sits in a half bowl shape and is all terraced off. We did all our shopping here and that is about 1000 times more pleasant than shopping in Kathmandu. I got a nothin face jacket for about 30 bucks usd. And I am pretty sure it isn't a knock off. I can usually tell the difference. Lots and lots of cool stuff to see and buy. I got a really cool yak bone bracelet too. And other things of course. Tomorrow we trek to the highest monastery in the world and stay near there. Then we have a few more days until base camp. Our guide said that other than base camp day, yesterday will be he toughest. So that is good I guess. The altitude is really going to affect us soon I think. We are trying our hardest to drink drink drink. And our accommodations are going to be less and less 'nice'. It will be roughing it for sure. As long as I can stay warm all is well. We are still doing well. Some have a bit of a head ache. Dad doesn't have much of an appetite and we are trying to make him drink more water. The food here is great. We went to a bakery here that was really nice and had great bathrooms. Haha. Not stinky. It even had toilet paper! So today was good. Looking forward to seeing the monetary tomorrow. I think I like the buddhists. Certainly not creepy like the hindus. Love you.
